INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION (AUG’19)

India’s Independence Day is celebrated annually on the 15th of August. It is the 73rd year India is celebrating its Independence. It is the day when we all get together to thank and remember our great freedom fighters who struggled for us to live in a free nation.
The students and teachers of SRPS also celebrated this day to  re-generate feeling of patriotism among them on 14.08.19 . The programme commenced with the flag hoisting, followed by March-past done by students with the drill playing loud and tri-colour flag, flying high. Toddlers dressed up as great freedom fighters of India gave a short speech regarding their tributes and sacrifices to make India an independent nation. After that various dance performances on patriotic songs and other cultural events were enjoyed by the audience. The program came to an end with the inspiring words of Principal mam Mrs Harveen Kaur Sharma and school manager Dr. I.C Gupta who emphasized on the fact that Independence Day is a moment to pay tribute to the ones who sacrificed everything for the Country’s independence and also reminded everyone of the privilege to be born in an independent country and emphasized to be an active and productive citizens of our country, and of the world.
