Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean we’ll miss you Until we meet again! It is really hard to say goodbye. Farewell is a time which is full of joy as it leads us to brighter future. Farewell is a much awaited time for class XII students. SRPS organized a farewell party to outgoing class XII on 16 Feb 2019. It was a grand celebration . The function began with a memorable and heart touching speech and various messages by students of class XII .They remembered all the moments which they had in our school. Songs and dance are considered to be a common method of expressing our deepest feelings for our loved ones. Keeping this in mind, Various dance and singing performances were also there by the dance and music teachers of our school and the juniors who showed how a child comes to school , makes friends, childish fights and in end farewell. Funny titles were also given to class XII students . The function got over with Principal ma'am showering her wishes and delivered a speech filled with emotions. It was followed by a lunch. SRPS will surely miss them and wish all the best for their future.

The most awaited function of year, i.e, SPORTS DAY was held on 30-31 Jan 2019.The school playground was filled with great zeal, excitement and pleasant atmosphere. This carnival was held in school to provide students opportunities to attain the skills and knowledge to be physically active as part of a healthy lifestyle. Chief Guests for this function were Mrs. Renu Jaju (MCD councillor), Mr. S.K Mudgal( Sec President of Akhil Brahm Samaj, Shalimar Bagh) , Mr. Balram Gupta, Mr. Govind Sharma(an eminent social worker),Mr. Sonu Shakti (eminent social wiorker), Mr. Gujjar(S.H.O of Shalimar Bagh) , Ms. Rachana Arora(S.I) graced the occasion with their presence. First day- The programme began on 30 Jan with lightning ‘Torch of Sportsmanship’ which was followed by marching by the four houses running in the school. A friendly walk by teachers. Cultural programme consisted of some dance performances by Nursery to VI class students which make guests and audience shaking their body. A script ‘Save girl child’ was really touching. It left all the people in tears. Cycle race by Tiny tots was really funtabulous. Second day- A competition between four houses was organised as follows: House dance form Abdul kalam Ganesh vandana C.V Raman Rajasthani Mandela Haryanvi Teressa Bhangra And then Sports meet started which included 50 mt. race, 100 mt. Race, 100 mt. Relay , 200 mt. Relay, sack race, spoon lemon and many other events.

The Nursery wing celebrated Christmas with a festive spirit on 21 December in the school premises. Children dressed up in red & white attire were looking gorgeous. In classes, a surprise cake party awaited the kids and filled their moment with joy and fervor. So a yummy and delicious cake was cut by kids to celebrate the Christmas party. The students enthralled the audience by exhibiting their talent through songs and dance performances. The students enjoyed thoroughly and imbibed a message of loving, caring, sharing and respecting all as was preached by Jesus himself. Classrooms too had been dressed with bright and colorful bells, stockings and stars.

Different activities like Diya making, class decoration, class party and cleanliness drive were taken up. Children not only enjoyed the activities but all these activities also helped in imbibing traditional values amongst the students. While celebrating Diwali in the campus, our school also led the way in spreading the message of celebrating safe and pollution free Eco-friendly Diwali.

The audience was mesmerized with the performance of the little ones as all the performers appeared with bright attires and geared to set the stage on fire. The performance provided an excellent opportunity to connect these young ones to their cultural roots and also provided an outlet to express their talents through drama and song.

View GalleryRaksha Bandhan is one of the most endearing ways to celebrate bond between brothers and sisters. To strengthen this bond, Rakhi Making Activity was conducted wherein the students made beautiful rakhis using colourful ribbons, geometrical shapes and decorative materials with great zeal and enthusiasm. Every student showed keen interest in the occasion and beautiful environment was made full of joy and love. This activity enabled the students to learn the importance of the auspicious festival of Raksha Bandhan. It also helped them get familiarized with the customs and traditions followed on this festivals. Many girls also tied rakhis on the wrists of boys. The rakhis made by the students were colorful and decorated beautifully. The basic theme behind organizing this event was to increase the creativity of students. All the students made rakhis in school and were told about the sacred bond between a brother and sister and as to how rakhi symbolizes the sister’s love and prayers for the brother’s well being.
