FLAG MAKING ACTIVITY
To inculcate the feelings of patriotism Flag Making Activity was held in Classes Nur to V on 14 August 2019(Wednesday). The young ones made the flag and wrote slogans. The children showed their earnest efforts.
RAKHI MAKING ACTIVITY
To help our children learn about the culture of India, rakhi making activity was organized for the toddlers to students of Grade V where they made attractive rakhis and cards for their siblings with the materials brought by them from their home. Every student showed keen interest in the occasion and beautiful environment was made full of joy and love.
FRIENDSHIP DAY
Relations are made in heaven but owed and celebrated on Earth. And one of these relations is Friendship. Friendship Day strengthens our bond with our friends ,to relive and cherish the most beautiful moments of life with Friends, students of classes I to V celebrated “Friendship Day”. Students made friendship bands and cards for their friends. Teachers also told them true meaning of a friend.
Friend Means:
F: Free from all formalities
R: Right to say anything
I: Ideal companion
E: Either good or bad
N: No sorry no thanks
D: Dear to dearest one
After this activity they had a class party also that inculcated the true meaning of “Sharing is caring”. Students enjoyed a lot and the day marked the presence of love, care, and understanding students have in their heart for their dear friends.
BEAT THE HEAT
The summer months are here and so are rising temperatures. The scorching summer heat is hard on our bodies. To keep children cool and refresh “BEAT THE HEAT” activity was organized for class 3 on 26.07.19 where children made delicious lemonade to beat the heat. Lemon water has many potential health benefits.
Children were made aware of benefits of lemon water like :
- It promotes hydration
- It’s a good source of vitamin C
- It improves your skin quality
- It helps in digestion and prevent constipation
This activity unraveled the health benefits of lemon juice. Children enjoyed a lot and it was a rejuvenating day for all.
BEST OUT OF WASTE
Recycling and reusing the valuable waste material can result in development of fantastic and usable products. To enhance the students’ creativity and to make them understand the importance of 3 R’S…REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE. Best out of waste activity was organized for Class 2 on 26.07.19. All the students participated well and decorated waste CDs in many ways like smiley, lady bird, etc. This fun filled activity made children aware of uses of waste material, and gave them a lesson on reducing waste to save our future.
UMBRELLA MAKING ACTIVITY
Rainy season is the favorite season of almost everyone as it comes after the very hot summer season. It is fun to play outside on a rainy day but staying indoors is certainly more appealing. What better craft to make on a super rainy day than an umbrella? Umbrella making activity was organized for pre school and pre primary students on 26.07.19.This activity incorporates a number of motor skills including cutting ,gluing, coloring, and using stickers. Children made beautiful umbrellas using colors and bindis to decorate it. Children were very excited to make an umbrella and they were also made aware of different types of seasons and uses of umbrella in summer and rainy season. It’s a lot of fun, includes a number of learning opportunities, and ends with a fun umbrella to take home!
Color & Shape Activity
“I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way.”
Geometry is everywhere , humans are attracted to patterns, designs and shapes. The students were given an opportunity to observe shapes of different fruits & Vegetables around them. They were dressed up as various fruits & Vegetables and spoke about their importance in our lives. It not only provided them a platform to become a good speakers & also help them in becoming confident. The students thoroughly enjoyed this activity of discovering various shapes around them in nature and critically analyzed their importance in daily life.
STICK CAR ACTIVITY
Every child is an artist , he/she creates an image in his/her mind and sees this world in his/her own way. A fun activity was organized for tiny tots on 12.04.19 where students made beautiful cars using ice cream sticks. The aim of this activity was to enhance the aesthetic sense of students. Children not only enjoyed the activity but also enhanced their creativity.
RED COLOR DAY
Color has a huge impact on our emotions, our perceptions, and our spiritual and physical well being.
Red color represents power and courage. The phrase “paint the town red” is associated with celebration, partying, abandon, fun, and excitement, keeping this in mind an activity was organized for tiny tots. Children dressed up in red attire were looking vibrant. Coloring activity was also organized where little ones enjoyed coloring and shading red color in the given picture. It was pleasure to watch the tiny tots working with such an enthusiasm. Children brought red fruits for fruit time and they also rocked the dance floor with their little dancing feet. Overall it was an enjoyable experience for all the students.
SHOW & TELL ACTIVITY
Health is wealth they say, and it is very important to teach this to the little ones at an early age itself so that they can value it. To make the children aware of importance of fruits in their lives for the sake of health , “Show & Tell Activity” was organized for students of class III , where every child was given an opportunity to express his/her views on the importance of fruits. The students also presented colorful props to support the topic that helped them in enhancing their presentation skills and confidence .
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
“Birthdays are a new start, a fresh beginning and a time to pursue new endeavors with new goals”. Birthday celebrations are good times to celebrate life, friends, and family. keeping this in mind SRPS celebrates birthdays of tiny tots every month to make their day special and wish them lots of happiness, love and fun. Children have a fantastic birthday party where they cut the delicious cake and receive lots of wishes and blessings from teacher and students.
