EARTH DAY CELEBRATION
“SAVE EARTH, SAVE MANKIND”
Every day needs to be an earth day and children being the future citizens need to shoulder the responsibility in spreading this message to the world. It should not only be in words but has to reflect in actions. To appreciate the nature, SRPS organized various activities for students .
A special assembly was held where students took a pledge that they will join their hands to preserve earth and make it a better living place.Their intentions were to awaken everybody to do their bit. Students recited poems on “NATURE” to praise and thank mother Earth.
The Activity of “Plant a sapling” was taken up in nursery wing to celebrate “Earth Day‟. All the students carried a sapling and planted it in the garden with the help of teacher and the gardener. The activity helped the students in learning the importance of planting the trees & making their surroundings clean and green.
To propagate and spread awareness on “Save Earth” Classes IV to XII students had a “Poster Making Competition ”. They made beautiful drawings and gave their words to their feelings which expressed their love for mother Earth. The promise was to “Save their Planet”, in their own small way.
Students of Classes IX to XII participated in “Essay Writing Competition ” . Students elaborated the need to conserve and preserve natural resources to save our “Ailing Planet –The Earth”. They sensitized others that this precious gift should be nurtured, preserved and reserved for the coming generations.
The celebration concluded with the belief that the students would respect their natural inheritance and be good caretakers of their planet.
